  • Do I need to purchase tickets in advance? Is cash excepted?
    Tickets must be purchased by 11pm the day before the tour. Tickets are only available with a Visa, Mastercard or AMEX through our website or by calling 1 (647) 694-8402. We do not accept cash.
  • Do the tours have vegetarian, vegan or gluten free options?"
    Best of Scarborough Food Tour - This tour has amazing vegetarian options at all of our tour stops. We currently cannot offer vegan or gluten free options on this tour. East End Beer & Food Walk - We offer vegetarian options at all of our stops on this tour. We currently cannot offer vegan or gluten free options on this tour. Eat the World on the East Danforth - We offer both vegetarion and vegan options on this tour. Private & Custom tours - We can design amazing vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options to cater to your specific needs.
  • What if I have food allergies?
    We can accommodate most allergies. You can let us know your food allergies during the checkout process.
  • Are children allowed?
    The Best of Scarborough Food Tour - Yes, Children are welcome as long as they are: over the age of 8, taller than 145 cm (4ft 9in) and heavier than 36 kg (80 lbs). We cannot provide a booster seat in our vehicle and these are the legal requirements in Ontario for children to be allowed to ride without one. East End Beer & Food Tour - All guests participating in the tour must be 19 years of age or older as that is the legal drinking age in Ontario. Eat the World on the East Danforth - Yes children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult, however they are charged at the full adult rate for the tour. Children under 2 can tag along free of charge. All guests, including children, must purchase a ticket to come along on the tour.
  • Are washrooms available on the tour?
    Yes. Most tour stops have washrooms available.
  • What happens in case of bad weather?
    Tours run rain or shine. On The Best of Scarborough Food Tour we will be driving between restaurants so weather won't be an issue. The East End Beer & Food Tour is a walking tour so make sure to dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if necessary. Eat the World on the East Danforth - This tour will run rain or shine. The tour stops are relatively close together and we can wait out any intense downpours indoors if necessary. Tickets will not be refunded due to bad weather.
  • What language are your tours available in?
    All tours are only available in English at this time.
  • What type of food is tasted on the tour?
    Our tours focus on Toronto's incredible multicultural food scene. All tours feature a wide selection of food from places such as Sri Lanka, Syria, Tanzania, Western China, Trinidad, Greece, Holland, India, Aboriginal Canada and more!
  • Does the tour guide accept tips?
    Yes. Tips are very much appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Are tours handicap accessible?
    The vehicle we will use for the Best of Scarborough Food Tour is not equipped to transport wheelchairs or other mobility devices. All stops along the East End Beer & Food Tour are handicap accessible just be aware that we cover about 4.5 km during this walking tour.
  • Are the tours only about food and drink?
    No, they are about so much more. While food is the focus, we aim to give our guests lots of interesting background information and history about the food or drinks we are having, the people making them and the neighbourhoods that we are in.
  • Do the tours start and end in the same place?
    The Best of Scarborough Food Tour - Yes. All tours start and end at the Kennedy Subway Station passenger pick-up area. East End Beer & Food Tour - No. Tours will Start on Danforth Ave and either end on Queen Street or at a different Subway stop on Danforth. All tours will end a short distance from either the subway or the Queen streetcar line. Your guide will be more than happy to offer directions after the tour.
  • Is there parking available?
    Yes. There is free street parking available near the starting points of our tours, however we recommend utilizing the TTC Subway system as the starting points for our tours are all located conveniently at subway stations. If you do choose to drive to our Best of Scarborough Food Tour you can find free street parking on Treverton Drive (off of Kennedy Road, northeast of Eglinton Road), just a short walk to the meeting point for the tour. Make sure to pay attention to the signs on Treverton in regards to where you are allowed to park. We highly recommend using public transit and not driving to our East End Beer & Food Tour since you will be consuming alcohol.
